Our unique location, idyllically on the edge of the forest in Morbach, allows everyone to enjoy the absolute tranquility and beauty of nature, while at the same time being within 10 minutes' walk of the town center with its wide range of shops and shopping facilities. Morbach is also an ideal starting point for hikes and a wide variety of sporting activities in the great outdoors, visits to the Rhine and Moselle or the gemstone town of Idar-Oberstein. Frankfurt-Hahn Airport is only 15 km away.

Hiking trails on the doorstep

At the Hotel 2tHeimat, all hikes start right outside the door, so to speak. The SaarHunsrück Climb is only 500 meters from the hotel, the dream loop "Öhlmühlentour" starts directly at the hotel.

The list of possibilities is almost endless. Breathtaking, beautiful, easy, difficult, long, short or strenuous paths - whatever your requirements, you will find them here in the Hunsrück! We would also be happy to inform you on site about your options. You will also find all the brochures you need to plan your activities there.

Of course, we offer you every service to do with hiking and are a certified quality host "Wanderbares Deutschland".

Our tips

In order to be optimally prepared, we have prepared a small list of things that are indispensable for hiking:

  • Hiking shoes with a good profile (ankle high)
  • Backpack
  • Sufficient drinks and something to eat (you are welcome to put together a packed lunch at the breakfast buffet for a small fee)
  • Spare clothing, e.g. T-shirt to change into
  • Protection against the cold - hood, gloves
  • Sun protection - hat, sunscreen
  • rain protection
  • Personal medication
  • Cash (still indispensable in the Hunsrück)
  • Mobile phone (if you use the in-house shuttle service)

2tHEIMAT shuttle service

We especially offer our hiking guests our shuttle service or luggage service. We make sure that you are guaranteed to arrive at your desired destination or that you will be picked up stress-free after a hike. We can transport a maximum of 8 people per trip.

Here are a few examples:

  • Wildenburg (Kempfeld): 30 euros per trip
  • Börfink: 40 euros per trip
  • Erbeskopf/Hunsrückhaus: 30 euros per trip
  • Hoxel/Edenbruch: 20 euros per trip
  • Bernkastel-Kues: 60 euros per trip
  • Traben-Trarbach: 60 euros per trip
  • All other destinations: Individual price based on distance on request
